Project Summary

Kids First Initiative (KFI) is a North American 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating across the U.S. and the Dominican Republic that empowers youth in underserved communities to drive social change through STEAM education. KFI approached our team to design a digitized, gamified version of their Marble Run game to create a more engaging and accessible way for elementary students to learn STEM concepts such as gravity.

This project is currently in development.

The Challenge

The challenge for this project is to design a digital version of KFI’s Marble Run activity that is both engaging and educational for elementary students. The game needs to clearly teach STEM concepts like gravity while remaining fun, intuitive, and easy to understand.

My specific concept involves players building a track from different pieces to guide a penguin back to its home, allowing them to explore how gravity affects motion through gameplay. My role was to create the game assets and design the user interface to support this experience.
